Parent Communications

We pride ourselves on our strong communication with all stakeholders in our community. In addition to Mr Hawley's bi-weekly newsletter and half-termly newsletters from teachers, parents receive regular updates as and when they are needed from Mrs Dale and Mrs Arundell - our skilled and committed office administrators.

Parents are invited to visit the school to meet their child's class teacher on at least two occasions during the academic year, usually in October and March. In June, we also send home written reports, which give a detailed insight into your child's attainment, progress, learning behaviours and next steps for progress.

More informal meetings and learning discussions (with your child's class teacher or Mr Hawley) are also held throughout the year, as and when they are needed. These meetings help us to ensure that all children continue to progress well. In addition to this, parents are welcome to visit the school during the day through our 'Open Day' events, which are opportunities to come around the school on a 'normal working day.' We hold at least three of these events each academic year.

Another great way to remain informed is through our achievement assembly, every Friday at 2.40pm, to which all parents are invited. This is a great opportunity to find out about what the children have been learning about, see some of our weekly learning highlights and to meet with other parents from across the school.

Finally, we are always looking for parent volunteers to come and hear readers or help in the library - please contact your child's class teacher if you think that you may be able to lend your support!
